My Amaryllis Journey

Yesterday I received my Jumbo Lemon Star Amaryllis bulb in the mail. I ordered it from American Meadows and I am so excited to experience the growth process. I plan to journal about this plant from today through the second blooming cycle (if I can get it to rebloom a year from now).

The bulb is jumbo and I can't wait to see what jumbo truly means.


I planted it yesterday in a 6 inch pot.




The directions stated that I needed to put it in a pot that had a 1 inch clearance around the bulb. I planted in simple miracle grow potting soil and watered it. It has a small lip of a leaf peaking through. How exciting this will be.
